Unleashing Innovation: Key Insights From shareclub At “Techies Go Green Live”
On 17 October, shareclub proudly partnered with Techies Go Green for their innovative annual event “Techies Go Green Live.” Each year, Techies Go Green holds an event dedicated to educating companies on sustainable practices and strategies for reducing their carbon footprints. Through a series of seminars, one-on-one meetings, and insightful interviews, participants engaged in innovative approaches to sustainability within the tech industry.
This year's gathering was made especially exciting by the compelling interview with author and sustainability activist, Paul Hawken. He shared his vision of a greener future and inspired attendees to take a look at their own companies' impact on the environment.
shareclub created a comfortable and inviting space in the coffee lounge, bringing cups for coffee, tea, water, and even soup! In an effort to promote waste reduction, each guest was encouraged to use share-cups throughout the day, which were collected and returned at the conclusion of the event. The integration of shareclub not only enhanced the overall enjoyment of the day but also significantly reduced the use of disposable cups, a leading cause of waste in large gatherings.
Attendees expressed their admiration for Techies Go Green for thinking outside the box and making their event as sustainable as possible by cutting out disposable cups. By the end of the day, a total of over 190 share-cups were used, resulting in a prominent decrease in landfill waste and CO2 emissions.
Techies Go Green does an amazing job of promoting sustainability within the tech world. They are a guiding light for what the future of technology looks like, and we at shareclub are grateful for the opportunity to help achieve their vision of a more environmentally conscious industry.
